Gateway Park

Graham Associates, Inc. led a national team of consultants to develop flood mitigation, master greenway, and trail plan for the Johnson Creek Corridor in Arlington, Texas. Developed as an alternative to a proposal by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control in the Johnson Creek basin, the master plan has been adopted by the Arlington City Council, and its implementation has begun. The Johnson Creek Greenway stretches for 11 miles northward from Interstate Highway 20 to the Ballpark in Arlington and Six Flags amusement park and the Trinity River and provides linkage to many of the City’s major recreational areas and visitor attractions. Graham Associates provided the site design for Gateway Park on Johnson Creek which included hydrology, detention, site investigation, utility design, platting, trail design, retaining wall design, and drainage.
